HydraFacial Platinum: is it right for you?
The Platinum is a good fit if you notice:
- Dull, dehydrated or congested-looking skin
- A puffy-looking face
- You enjoy massage and want a longer, more relaxing facial
It’s also a lovely treat before a wedding, a trip or a milestone birthday. If you’ve searched for an anti-aging HydraFacial, know that this is a cosmetic facial: it can leave skin looking fresher, smoother and more radiant, but it doesn’t change your skin’s structure or replace medical care.
Every visit is adapted to your skin: tell us what you’d like to improve when you book, and your skincare expert will choose the approach that suits you best.
What happens during your visit
- Lymphatic drainage. We begin with a soothing drainage step using HydraFacial’s lymphatic glass handpiece, with gentle suction, gliding across the face to help it look less puffy.
- Cleanse and exfoliate. The HydraFacial device, fitted with a tip chosen for your skin, cleanses and exfoliates in one step, a deep cleansing facial that prepares your skin.
- A gentle peel. We apply a peel chosen for your skin, starting at the lowest strength, to loosen buildup on the surface.
- Vortex extraction. Gentle suction clears congested pores. This step is designed to feel comfortable, though every client’s skin is different.
- Hydrating infusion with your booster. We infuse hydrating serums together with a booster picked for your main concern.
- LED light. Next comes LED light from a hands-free panel held about an inch from your face, while you wear protective goggles. Red light is used for the look of fine lines and redness, blue light for oily or congested-looking skin, and the time is set for your skin. It usually feels like gentle warmth.
We finish with a moisturizer and sunscreen. Sensitive skin? Your skincare expert adapts the tip, the peel strength and the light to it, and may leave out the drainage step.

Results and how often
Typically, skin looks more radiant and feels more hydrated right after your visit, and a less puffy look is possible but not guaranteed; any longer-term effect builds with repeat visits. There is no planned downtime. Temporary redness or tightness is possible and typically settles within 72 hours; we’ll tell you what to expect. Results vary from person to person.
Many clients come back about once a month to keep that fresh look; others prefer every two to three months. For a faster start, some clients book their first few visits closer together. We’ll suggest a rhythm that fits your skin and your budget.
Add to your visit
Tell us when you book which add-on you’d like, and your skincare expert will confirm on the day that it suits your skin. LED and boosters are already included.
- Dermaplaning Add-On ($45, 20 min): gently removes dead skin cells and fine facial hair, so your skin feels smoother.
- Perk Eye ($59, 30 min): if tiredness shows first around your eyes, this adds focused care to the outer-eye area for a brighter, more hydrated look.
- Perk Lip ($59, 30 min): gently exfoliates and hydrates dry or flaky lips for a smoother, lightly plumped look. The effect is temporary, and it is not a filler.
After your visit
After: avoid direct sun and wear a sunscreen of at least SPF 40. A slight tingling or stinging usually fades within three hours; any temporary irritation, tightness or redness usually settles within 72 hours. Your skin can look better right after the visit and typically feels smooth and hydrated for one to four weeks. Results vary from person to person.
Your skincare expert can suggest home care to help keep your skin looking fresh between visits.

Frequently asked questions
What are the platinum HydraFacial benefits?
A more complete visit: the Deluxe’s booster and LED, plus a lymphatic drainage step that opens the visit in a relaxing, massage-like way. Results vary from person to person.
Does it hurt?
It’s usually comfortable. You may feel light suction, a slight tingle and gentle suction from the drainage handpiece. If anything bothers you, tell your skincare expert and the treatment will be adjusted.
Is there downtime?
There is no planned downtime. Some people feel a slight tingle that usually fades within three hours, or see temporary redness or tightness that usually settles within 72 hours. Avoid direct sun, wear SPF 40 or higher and follow our aftercare tips.
Will it detox my body or drain toxins?
No. The drainage step is a relaxing facial massage; we don’t make body-cleansing claims. A less puffy look is possible, not guaranteed.
Is it the same as a manual lymphatic massage?
No. On the Platinum the drainage is a short step at the start of the facial, done with HydraFacial’s lymphatic glass handpiece and gentle suction rather than by hand. For a stand-alone massage, see our Lymphatic Facial Massage session ($99, 30 min).
